Brief Background

Phobjekha valley is one of the widest and beautiful valleys in the country. It was once a glacier lake and it can be proved with the marshy areas. The bottom of the valley is inhabitable as its full of marshy. And it's at an elevation of 2700 meters.

Not only the beautiful valley but also the arrival of Elusive Black Necked Crane in winter adds the beauty. This elusive bird migrates every winter from Tibet in the month of November and then migrates back by March, to return next winter with thier juvenile.
